As of 1 October 2026, the provisions of the Auditors Oversight (Amendment, Validation and Repeal) Act, 2026 will come into force and the AOA will cease to exist as a legal entity.
Its responsibilities have not been transferred to a successor entity. Oversight responsibilities will continue to be discharged by the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants and the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, in accordance with each of their respective remits.
